Kalman Magyar (violin)

Kalman (known by his nickname “Ocsi”) is widely regarded as North America’s premier Hungarian folk violinist.

Classically trained at Manhattan School of Music’s Preparatory Division, Kalman is a former soloist with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans and has performed and recorded with most of the top folk musicians in Hungary and Transylvania.  A lawyer by trade, he is the author of Put Your Pants On and Get to Work - Ten Principles for Zestful Living and the host of Tanchaz Talk, the world's only English-language program focusing primarily on Hungarian folk music.
